Wesley College's Housing Project Update

Wesley College Glen Waverley from Victoria, Australia have been supporters of Possible Dreams International (PDI) for many years. This year, they have generously raised $8000 towards aid and dignity projects conducted by PDI in rural communities eSwatini. We have two major projects underway with these much needed funds.

1. Mattress Project

30 mattresses have been delivered to 10 families across rural communities serviced by PDI. This includes Gogo Chauke* to whom we delivered a home and wheelchair to last year, as well as a family of three sisters who received a home from us in 2020. Gogo Dora* is a person living with blindness and her home was destroyed by the recent the recent cyclone in eSwatini. These mattresses mean much more than a better night sleep for many in need!

2. Housing Project

After two house fires destroyed Gogo Nothando’s* initial home and her temporary tent, her family of six now live in an unsafe, leaky hut. Building Gogo, her two children and three grandchildren a safe brick home is now underway thanks to the generosity of Wesley College.

You can see below the transformation from the unsafe hut to a brick home taking shape!

We cannot thank Wesley College enough for their tireless fundraising and generosity! Siyabonga (thank you)!
